Raised in Romania, the son of an athletics coach, Andrei grew up around athletes of all caliber and got to train and spend time with them in all kinds of environments be it training camps or major competitions. It was here that his passion for training and being around and helping athletes began. “I got to see what they all had to go through to be the best, the training, the injuries, the rehab everything.”

In Canada Andrei began his career in healthcare in 2012 as a Registered Nurse working with both post-op and rehab patients that had undergone a variety of orthopedic surgeries. Eventually he specialized in Critical care both on ICU and ER units. There he developed a strong clinical foundation and an ability to quickly assess, adapt and take charge of any client whatever their needs might be.

Like many other fields, healthcare is plagued with work related injuries. Thus, while developing his clinical skills Andrei also learned to deal with a variety of work-related injuries. “You see a lot of bad backs working in healthcare and not just the patients.” At first his approach was mostly based around Remedial Exercises and Physical Training. Eventually he developed a deep passion for manual therapy and went on to pursue a career in massage therapy graduating from the International Academy of Applied Health in March 2023.

Andrei brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience to the table, applying a variety of techniques (Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue work, Joint Mobilisations etc) to handle whatever the client’s needs might be from work/sport injuries to stress or pregnancy related issues. His approach is multidisciplinary and centered around empowering the client through education and involvement in the treatment process. “The one thing that got me working in hospitals was never having the time to spend with people and really make them feel heard. I love taking my time with clients and making sure they feel listened to and that someone capable is helping them take charge of their condition.”

He is also certified in cupping therapy and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization).

Outside of the clinic Andrei enjoys spending time outside in the summer season be it Longboarding, Open Water Swimming or Weightlifting in the colder season.

Matthew graduated from the International Academy of Massage Therapy in Ottawa, completing the accelerated program in 2019. He has been studying body mechanics and healing for more than 15 years.

Matthew specialises in treating chronic pain; from old injuries or repetitive use, with Fascial Restructuring.

When a person has pain or lack of normal movement there is a problem along a chain of muscles. Fascial restructuring is a unique approach getting to the core of the problem. Usually where you are experiencing the pain is not the source of the problem. That is a symptom resulting from another part of the muscle chain that is “stuck”. By releasing the part that is “stuck” it allows the muscles that are over worked to relax and go back into place; increasing range of motion and relieving pain. Using the maps of fascial lines that outline how the body’s muscle systems function together gives a guide of where to look based on your symptoms. Using sustained pressure the body will naturally release and move back into place. Using this method you can make lasting changes, relieving chronic pain.
