It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff neck, back and shoulders, TMJ, Sciatica, Tendonitis, and other overuse injuries. The treatment can be uncomfortable, so communicate with your therapist during the treatment and to report any lasting discomfort post-treatment.

Stress relief/relaxation treatments and pre/post natal massages are all classified as Therapeutic massage. Just don't choose Therapeutic Deep!

A long-time yoga practitioner and teacher, Hélène values natural health and body-mind connections in her personal and professional life. Since she graduated with Honours from the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa in early 2020, she’s worked in spa and clinic settings, as well as her own solo practice.

Hélène enjoys the challenge of meeting each individual’s unique needs, and loves working with different types of clients and conditions, using the techniques best adapted to the situation. She’s comfortable treating children, teens, adults, pregnant people, the elderly, and catering to recovering and special needs clients.

In session, she shows a solid clinical approach, attention to detail and effective palpation skills, while holding a safe space for the client, and encouraging communication. She’s seen the impact of fascia and scar tissue work on musculosketal and nerve disorders when used with Swedish massage techniques, trigger point therapy and well-targeted deep tissue techniques, and she’s always amazed at how knowledgeable therapeutic touch can soothe the nerves, calm the whole system and reduce pain. She likes to incorporate a bit of cupping into treatments, and empowering clients, by giving them tools and knowledge to take home, such as stretches, etc. to support them in achieving their health goals. I graduated with honours from the massage therapy program at Algonquin College in spring 2021.
